It is my passion to help people in pain. You may be struggling with depression or anxiety. You may feel misunderstood or not appreciated. You may be experiencing a significant change or life transition. If any of these statements resonates true to you, I am here to help. It is important for me to get to know you, so I can help you with feeling better. Our relationship will become central to the therapy process. I create a safe space to listen to you and help you to gain insight into what makes you tick. I want to help you understand what is behind your pain so that you don’t have to re-experience it. I will guide you to develop insight into solving your problems, help you to reduce stress, and increase your energy.
I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1993. I completed my internship at the Milwaukee County Mental Health Complex. I received my certificate in Analytical Psychotherapy from the C.G. Jung Institute of Chicago in 2008. I am listed on the National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
I help adults who are really struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship problems and difficult situations. I’ll help you tap into your inner strength and personal power so you can make the changes needed to feel better and create a more fulfilling life. We will work best together if you really want to improve your mood, better your relationships, or get through difficult times.
My approach is insight-oriented, in other words, I like to help guide you to arrive at your own insights into your problems and the solutions. I am especially interested in any dreams that occur while you are in therapy, as they are the looking glass into the unconscious.
